Padel will make its debut at the European Games in Krakov-Malopolska from June 21 to 25, 2023

The dates are now official: from June 21 to 25, padel will make its "debut in the five rings" at the third edition of the European Games, scheduled to take place in Krakow from June 21 to July 2. This will be a "premiere" in grand style, as padel will have the honour of being one of the disciplines opening the event. More than 30 countries will be competing, with the best players on court and a program that confirms padel as a sport with modern and innovative horizons.
In addition to the men's and women's tournaments, there will also be the mixed tournament: pairs will be made up of one man and one woman, thus confirming the path of total harmonization chosen by the European Union and the International Padel Federation (FIP). The formalization of the five-day competition at the European Games thus successfully completes the strategy chosen in July 2019 by Luigi Carraro, President of the International Padel Federation.
The growth of the discipline, the potential of the FIP competitions, the constant and productive activity of information and collaboration with the EOC and the two years of hard work with the Polish Federation have resulted, in May 2021, in the formalization of the inclusion of padel in the list of disciplines of the European Games.
"It's a great emotion, for everyone who loves padel, for those who play it and for the athletes who have contributed to the growth of our discipline over the years. Looking at the five Olympic rings and seeing a padel racket in the background is the greatest reward for me. It's the greatest reward for the hard, serious and relentless work that enabled us to be chosen by the European Olympic Committees - whom I thank once again - as an independent discipline. I'm sure we'll be able to contribute to the success of the European Games, we can't wait to play on the court and, now that it's official, to see you all on June 21 in Krakow." President of the International Padel Federation, Luigi Carraro.
